Distant shrieks are approaching on the cold, menacing wind

Shadows grow larger through the blowing snow

A siren’s song transfixes the minds of unwary men

Yet the reward for curiosity will be death

Grotesque woman-like beasts swoop down upon their terrified prey

These bloody-thirsty savages only know cruelty and pain

With razor sharp talons they slice through armor, flesh and bone

Their hopeless victims are butchered and devoured one piece at a time

Each corpse fuels an ever stronger and bolder creature

Onward to shatter another noble warrior’s hope of an honorable demise

Very nice. They do look gruesome. What did you use for the basing? Is it the standard GW snow you paint on?

I just use my Coat d’Arms white paint. Probably not the cheapest way to go, but the most convenient for me. Sometimes it ends up looking too thin, but I’ve tried other methods and ended up with the same results. Most of the time the effect looks bulky enough for my liking. I didn’t realize GW had snow. I often forget they offer more than literature and models.
