A rumor is going around about a recent skirmish between the Wood Elves and Bretonnia. It started at a Bretonnian high mountain timber camp where several men were working.

The timber camp happened to be located near an important sacred site cherished by the Wood Elves of the Moonshadow Glens. When the elves became aware of the tree cutting, they became immediately alarmed.

A delegation of Elves were sent to watch the timber camp and to plead with the men to cut timber elsewhere.

After several attempts at diplomacy the Elves could not convince the Bretonnians to move somewhere else. The Men sometimes pretended to be sympathetic, but ultimately did nothing to change their operations. This mountainside had good timber and they needed it for their construction projects.

The restraint of the Wood Elves was being sorely tested. Some had no patience left to give. A exceptionally savage Elf Captain was ready to force the Bretonnians to go away. This vigilante secretly assembled a band of skirmishers that were willing to teach the knights a brutal lesson about ignoring the Elves wishes.

Bretonnia, knowing the unpredictability of the Moonshadow Wood Elves had a contingent of knights from Bastonne ready near the timber camp. When the Wood Elves launched their attack on the timber camp, the stampede of knights charged into battle and into a hailstorm of arrows.
