Rumors have it that an old nomadic dwarf from the Brimstone Mountains has become too famous for his own good.

He is an explorer that has dedicated many years to searching and mapping manticore caves all over the Brimstone Mountains.

The dwarf clans prefer to give manticore beasts a wide berth to avoid deadly conflict with them.

Somehow, Optimus Callous, The Dark Elf Beastmaster, heard whispers of the fame of this dwarf. The Dark Lord devised a plan to kill the dwarf and capture his maps, that he would use for his own purposes.

Dark Elf scouts were sent to the Brimstone Mountains to track down the dwarf.

Unfortunately for Optimus Callous, one of his spies was discovered and captured. After interrogation in the dungeons of Altdorf of the Empire, the Dark Lord’s plans were revealed.

However, the confident prisoner boldly declared that the location of the explorer was recently found and that a battalion was already on its way to kill him and capture his maps.

News was quickly relayed from the Empire to the Brimstone Clan to prepare for the coming of the Dark Elves. The Dwarfs searched for the old explorer so they could protect him with a battalion of their own. Meanwhile, it didn’t take long for the Dark Elf army to settle into their strategically hidden camp.

When the Dark Elves were ready to strike, to their amazement, the Brimstone Clan had their battalion in position between them and the explorer, ready to protect their own.

Many grim Dwarfs stood with their axes and armor shimmering in the sun, in defiance of the Dark Elf treachery.
