The chalice was bejeweled with emeralds, and irresistible to the noble. He made his hefty purchase and brought it home to admire, and impress the noble society. Little did he know that the relic was cursed.

Soon afterward, many reports starting coming in about a nearby forest being haunted, and walking skeletons seen within. These hauntings persisted for months and were gaining in frequency and intensity.

After complaints grew too loud to ignore, the local knight contingent was dispatched to the forest to investigate.

Surprisingly, they confirmed the presence of the Undead within the forest, dramatically alarming the local populace. Soon, they returned with a war party, but the skeletons were waiting for them, in numbers unanticipated by the gallantry.
