Daemons Unit Summary

Bloodletters: The Bloodletters led by the champion named Forgotten, was joined by the Herald of Khorne during deployment. They deployed in the center of the formation. They marched straight ahead down the center of the battlefield until they reached the Bretonnians. With the Herald in the unit, they boldly charged the Knights of the Realm. They were engaged with the knights for 4 rounds of Close Combat and prevailed. Then they reformed and charged into the grail knight Paladins, after the knights had beaten the Chaos Furies. They prevailed over the Grail knights in 2 rounds of Close Combat. They finished the game with only 4 wounds to their unit.

Bloodletters: The Bloodletters led by the champion named Slicer deployed on the left flank of the Daemons formation. Like the other Bloodletters, they marched forward down their left flank as quickly as they could. They were charged by the Questing Knights in turn 6. They were engaged with the Questing Knights for 3 rounds of Close Combat, and forced the unit champion to Flee. They Pursued and caught him dead. The Bloodletters continued their flank attack and then hooked around the pond until they were able to charge the Bowmen in Turn 11. They helped finish off the Bowmen with a unit of Flesh Hounds.

Flesh Hounds. The Flesh Hounds led by the champion named Ripper were deployed on the center-left of the Daemon formation. They were the Vanguard unit of Daemons that were the first unit that made it into Close Combat. They charged the Men-at-Arms in turn 5 and were engaged in 2 rounds of Close Combat before forcing the Men to Flee. But, the Men were able to kill 2 Hounds before running. The Flesh Hounds pursued the Men and were able to grind them down to 5 Men before the Hounds were charged on the side flank by the Knights of the Realm. The knights wiped out the Flesh Hounds.

Flesh Hounds. The Flesh Hounds led by the champion named Killer were deployed on the center-right of the Daemon formation. They advanced doing their best to avoid the Mysterious River in their deployment area. They arrived to the battle area much later than the other units. But, they were instrumental in bringing down the Knights of the Realm. They charged into the knights’ flank in Round 8, causing 3 wounds. After the knights were dead, they targeted remains of the Men-at-Arms and charged into them. Four Men were slain promptly, which caused the unit Champion to Flee. The Hounds slew him in Pursuit. Then the Flesh Hounds reformed to target the peasant Bowmen. They charged the Bowmen in Round 11, and joined the Bloodletters in finishing off that unit.

Chaos Furies. The Furies deployed on the right flank of the Daemon’s formation. They immediately took off into the air and soared up the battlefield as quickly as they could. They flew over hills, rivers and walls until they came up to the battle zone. They performed a Swoop (air-to-ground charge) into the Paladin Grail knights. 4 Furies were killed, but the Furies slipped a wound into the knights and killed the unit Musician. But, after the swoop they failed the Daemonic Instability test and the remaining 6 Furies were lost to the ether.

Herald of Khorne. Claw, the Herald of Khorne deployed within the Bloodletters formation led by the champion named Forgotten. He was involved in all the same battles with the Bretonnian knights, including the Knights of the Realm and the Grail knight Paladins. Claw dished out 3 wounds with his Killing Blow ability from his Hellblade. Claw never took a wound himself.

Bretonnia Unit Summary

Men-at-Arms. The men deployed on the center-left of the Bretonnian formation. They Marched into the center of the battlefield where they countered the Vangaurd unit of Flesh Hounds. They took the charge of the Flesh Hounds and were beaten in 2 rounds of Close Combat before they fled. But, they killed 2 Hounds before Fleeing. Six more Men were killed by the Hounds as they were attacked twice while Fleeing. They Rallied after the Knights of the Realm charged into the Flesh Hounds and slew them. The Men then attempted to get into Close Combat to help the Knights of the Realm with the Bloodletters and the Herald of Khorne. But they were too late before the knights were slain. The Men were subsequently charged by the other unit of Flesh Hounds. Four of the remaining 5 were slain, before the lone Champion fled again. He was Pursued and slain by the hounds.

Bowmen. The peasant Bowmen deployed at the center-right of the Bretonnian formation, in front of the pond. They moved up to the shore quickly, and then camped out there for most of the battle. They flung many arrow volleys at different Daemon units, hoping to thin them down. But, nothing worked. Once they were being pursued by the Bloodletters coming down the flank, they finally picked off 2 Bloodletters. Then they slew 5 more in a stand and shoot Charge reaction when the Bloodletters charged. They helped thin the unit down below 50% of their starting value, but they were promptly slain in battle. They were sandwiched between the Bloodletters to their front, and a full unit of Flesh Hounds to their rear flank.

Knights of the Realm. The Knights of the Realm deployed in the center of the Bretonnian formation. They reformed into the lance formation and were able to Charge into the flank of the Vanguard unit of Flesh Hounds that were Pursuing the Fleeing Men-at-Arms. After wiping out the Flesh Hounds, they were charged by the Bloodletters with Herald of Khorne. The Bloodletters beat the knight in 4 rounds of Close Combat. The knights caused 4 wounds on the Bloodletters.

Questing Knights. The Questing Knights deployed on their army’s right flank. They moved forward quickly and engaged the Bloodletters moving down the flank. They Charged into the Bloodletters and were engaged in Close Combat for 3 rounds. They caused 3 wounds on the Bloodletters, but were ultimately beaten by the Bloodletters. The unit Champion fled and was cut down by the Bloodletters in Pursuit.

Grail Knights. This unit consisted of the Paladin General, Paladin Battle Standard Bearer and the Grail Knight musician. They deployed on the army’s left flank. They initially moved to the center to help the Men-at-Arms counter the Vanguard unit of Flesh Hounds. But, they were caught out of position to help on the flank. Instead they targeted the Chaos Furies coming into the battle zone. The Furies charged the Grail Knights, and slew the Musician. The knights slew 4 Furies in return, and the rest of the Furies vanished from failing their Daemonic Instability test. Then the Grail Knights Reformed to potentially Charge into the Bloodletters with the Herald of Khorne. But, the Bloodletters beat them to it, and Charged the Grail Knights. The Bloodletters eliminated the Grail Knights in only 2 rounds of Close Combat. The Grail Knights did no damage to the Bloodletters.
